Around November of last year, I was watching some video with the ladies at work and they showed this young lady in clothes my mom and grandma would wear. One of my best friends said, “Look, Maggie. It’s you!”

Oh. My. God.

I came home. Freaked out a bit. And realized that she was right.

I am 25 years old and I dress like my grandma.

So, I looked over the blogs that I read, the girls whose look I admire and focused on what I liked and what I could adapt for myself. The girls at work joked about my pre-New Year’s Resolution, that I was becoming more trendy, getting fancy. My only thought has been:

I’m 25 years old and I dress like my grandma.

So, what have I done, you ask?

I dropped more money on clothes than ever before; what I had was just OLD.
I learned that I need to layer layer layer.
I pay attention to what makes a look work and mimic it only so much that it fits who I am.

I am still working on learning to accessorize, but this is where I struggle. I just don’t know how to put accessories to an outfit. Any suggestions?
